# EchoDepth Insight

> FACS-grounded emotion intelligence for research, HR, and people analytics

EchoDepth Insight captures involuntary emotional responses using 44 FACS (Facial Action Coding System) Action Units, producing Valence-Arousal-Dominance scores in real time. It replaces self-report surveys and focus groups with objective physiological measurement.

## Scope and Lawful Use

Facial coding (EchoDepth Insight) is used only with consenting research participants in research sessions, focus groups and product tests. It is not offered for employee audiences: EU AI Act Article 5(1)(f) prohibits inferring emotion from biometric data in workplace and education settings, and consent does not lift that prohibition. Workplace sentiment work uses EchoDepth Signal, which analyses written language only.
